Touring internationally since 2008, the project provides pianos on streets, in public parks, markets and train stations. The instruments, which bear the simple instruction ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’, are available for everyone to play and enjoy. According to the artist, ‘Our street pianos create a place of exchange and an opportunity for people to connect.’
So far, the project has reached over 10 million people worldwide, with more than 1,700 street pianos already installed in over 55 cities across the globe.
The project will be presented in Bristol from 17 August – 7 September, Munich from 31 August – 17 September 2017 and in Kunitachi in Tokyo from 16-31 March 2018.
